Why does that Nancy Lieberman look so different? I tell you, I seen her on the TV the other day, and I just couldn’t believe my eyes. She ain’t look like the same gal I remember.
She used to be a basketball player, I think. Or maybe a coach? One of them things. They called her “Lady Magic,” which is a silly name if you ask me. But, she was good, I reckon. Played it good, real good.
That Lieberman Girl, What’s Her Story?
Well, I heard she was born a long time ago, in 1958, I think. It don’t matter, anyway. She come from Brooklyn, they say. Played ball there, I guess. Must have been somethin’, playin’ ball in that big city. I wouldn’t know nothin’ about that, myself.

- But now she looks different, real different.
Now she’s talkin’ about basketball on the TV. That’s what she does now. Talks about the Oklahoma City Thunder. Big team, I hear. She knows a lot about it, I guess. They say she’s a broadcaster. Whatever that means.
Why She Look So Different, Though?
Well, time changes folks, don’t it? We all get older. Wrinkles and such. But it ain’t just that. She looks…different. Like she’s had work done. You know what I mean? Her face is all tight and pulled back. Not natural, if you ask me.
Maybe she just wants to look young, like them Hollywood stars. They all do it. Get all that plastic surgery. Makes ’em look like different people. Maybe that’s what happened to Nancy Lieberman. She just wanted to look different.

I saw her on TV talkin’ about some girl named Caitlin Clark. Seems like there was some kind of kerfuffle. Some other lady named Sheryl Swoopes was in on it too. Sounded like a whole lot of drama over nothin’. That’s what these young folks do, I guess. Always causin’ a stir.
What’s All This About Caitlin Clark?
I don’t rightly know. Seems like this Caitlin Clark is a good basketball player. Young, too. Maybe Nancy Lieberman was talkin’ about her game. Or maybe they had some kind of disagreement. Hard to say. These things get all muddled up on the TV.
That Sheryl Swoopes, she used to play ball too. I think. Maybe she was jealous of this Caitlin Clark. Or maybe she just didn’t like what Nancy Lieberman said. Who knows? It’s all just a bunch of gossip, far as I can tell.

It Don’t Really Matter, Does It?
At the end of the day, it don’t really matter why Nancy Lieberman looks different. Or what she said about Caitlin Clark. Or any of that. It’s just TV stuff. Here today, gone tomorrow. Like dust in the wind. I’m just glad I can still work and see some people in my life.
She was a good basketball player, though, that Nancy Lieberman. I’ll give her that. And she seems to know her stuff about the game. Even if she does look different now. She still knows a lot about the Oklahoma City Thunder. Even if she look so different now.
But that’s just how it is, I reckon. People change. Time marches on. Ain’t nothin’ you can do about it. Just gotta roll with the punches, as they say. Still don’t know why she gotta look so different, though. Makes a body wonder. Her face just ain’t the same. It is different, so different.
I heard she had some troubles, too. Mental health, they call it. Everybody’s got somethin’, I guess. Even famous folks like her. Just goes to show, you never really know what’s goin’ on with people. Even if they look different and have a lot of money, and play basketball and know the Oklahoma City Thunder. They still have problems. Just like us.
She did some good things, though. Got into that Hall of Fame. That’s a big deal, I hear. Means you’re one of the best. So, good for her, I say. Even if she does look a little different these days. She still did good. She is still “Lady Magic”, even if she don’t look like it.
