Alright, let’s talk about them Honduras soccer fellas, the ones that kick the ball real good. You know, the famous ones. Everybody always yappin’ about ’em.

The Best of the Bunch, They Say
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch the games on the TV when I got time, which ain’t much, what with all the chores and whatnot. But even I know some of these names. They say Carlo Costly is one of the best ever from Honduras. Started playin’ way back in 2002, that’s a long time ago, even for an old hen like me! He played for some club called Real somethin’ or other. Sounded fancy. He must be good if they talkin’ about him all the time.
The Young ‘Uns and Their Ratings
Then there’s these young fellas, the ones they got on that FC 25 game. My grandson, he plays that game all day long. Says it tells ya who’s good and who ain’t. They got these ratings, see? Numbers that tell ya how strong they are, how fast they run, all that stuff. I don’t understand it much, but the higher the number, the better, that’s what the boy tells me. So, you wanna know who’s good now, just look at them ratings, I guess. They got strengths and weaknesses, just like us folks, only theirs is about kickin’ a ball.
Honduras and Their Soccer Love
Now, in Honduras, they love this soccer thing. It’s their favorite thing to watch, I reckon. Been playin’ it since way back when, early 1900s they say. Took ’em a while to get organized, though. Didn’t even have a real national team till the 1960s. Can you believe that? Took ’em that long! They call their team “Los Catrachos” or somethin’ like that. And “La Bicolor,” too. Guess they got two names, just like some folks I know.

- The National Team: They got this team, see? Represents the whole country. Big deal, it is. They play in these big tournaments, like the World Cup. Sometimes they do good, sometimes they don’t. That’s just how it goes. Some teams get kicked out early, you know. Happens to the best of ‘em.
- The Managers: Then they got these fellas, the managers. They tell the players what to do. Like coaches, but fancier. Sometimes they get fired, they call it “sacked.” Happens when the team ain’t doin’ so good. Just like gettin’ fired from any other job, I suppose.
- The Popularity: Like I said, soccer is real popular down there. Everybody watches it, everybody talks about it. It’s like a big party, all the time. Cept when they lose, then it ain’t so much of a party.
More Famous Players, They Say
There’s other famous players, too, from Honduras and other places. This Chicharito fella, from Mexico. He played for some big clubs over in Europe. Real Madrid, Manchester United. Big names, them. Guess he’s pretty good. They got lists of these players, the best ones. You can find ’em online, if you know how to look. Me, I just ask my grandson. He knows all about this stuff.
So, There You Have It
So, that’s what I know about them Honduras soccer players. Some are famous, some are good, some are just playin’ along. It’s a big deal down there, this soccer thing. Keeps folks entertained, I guess. Gives ’em somethin’ to cheer about. And that ain’t a bad thing, now is it?
Anyways, that’s enough talkin’ for one day. I gotta go feed the chickens.
