Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here OWCS thing. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but from what I hear, it’s startin’ up again real soon. OWCS 2025, they call it.
They say it’s gonna kick off in January 2025. That’s right around the corner, ain’t it? January, when it’s colder than a well-digger’s butt in Alaska. These young folks and their computer games, I tell ya.
First thing they gonna do is have somethin’ called an Open Qualifier. Sounds fancy, but it just means anyone can try to get in. This here qualifier is for the folks in North America and them fancy pants over in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. EMEA, they call it. Too many letters for an old woman like me.
So, these teams, they play each other, I guess. And the best ones, they get to go on to the OWCS Stage 1 Regular Season. Regular season, that’s like the games that really count, I reckon. Like the World Series, but for computer games, probably.
- January 2025: Open Qualifier for North America and EMEA.
- After the Qualifier: Stage 1 Regular Season starts.
- After Stage 1: Playoffs, then a live event.
- Stage 2: Same thing as Stage 1, Regular Season, then Playoffs.
They say they’re gonna show these games on somethin’ called YouTube and Twitch. Sounds like a bunch of hocus pocus to me, but the young folks, they seem to like it. You can watch it on them things, I hear.
And you know what else? They give out prizes! Well, not real prizes, like a new tractor or a good set of pots and pans. They give out things in the game, like a special outfit for a character named Brigitte or Mercy. OWCS Brigitte, they call it. Sounds like a doll my granddaughter would play with.
This here OWCS 2025, it seems like a big deal. They even announced it at a place called DreamHack Stockholm. Stockholm, that’s way over in Europe, ain’t it? Fancy places for fancy games.
They’re sayin’ this OWCS is back and it’s better. “OWCS is back BETTER in 2025!” That’s what they say. Better how? I don’t know. Probably more explosions and fancy moves. Young folks like that kind of stuff.
So, if you’re into this here Overwatch thing, you better get ready. January 2025, that’s when it all starts. Open Qualifier, then the Regular Season, then the Playoffs. And don’t forget them fancy prizes, like that OWCS Brigitte thing.
Me? I’ll stick to my soap operas and my gardenin’. But you young folks, you go ahead and have your fun. Just don’t make too much noise, ya hear? And don’t forget to eat your vegetables.
Anyways, that’s all I know about this here OWCS thing. It starts in January, it’s got somethin’ to do with computer games, and they give out fancy prizes. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens.
