Alright, let’s talk about them headsets them fancy video game players use, the ones in that VCT thingy. I hear tell it’s a big deal, this VCT. Kids these days and their games, eh?

What Headsets the VCT Folks Use
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. But I done asked around and peeked at some things on that internet thingamajig. Seems like there’s a few different kinds they like.
- Logitech G somethin’ or other: Heard these are real popular. They got one called G733 LIGHTSPEED. Sounds fancy, right? Like it’ll make you play faster or somethin’. Folks say it’s comfy, which is good, I guess. If you’re gonna be sittin’ around playin’ games all day, you don’t want your ears hurtin’. They also got this Pro X 2, sounds tough. Like it can take a beatin’. Guess them games get pretty rough.
- HyperX Cloud somethin’: This one’s got that memory foam stuff. Like them fancy mattresses. So I reckon it’s good for long hours. Probably keeps your ears from gettin’ all sweaty and itchy.
- Sony Inzone: Now this is a new one, I hear. Seems like that VCT, the whole shebang, they’re gonna start usin’ these Sony ones. Don’t know much about ’em, but if them VCT folks are usin’ ’em, they must be alright, I reckon.
Why they pick these headsets, I wonder?
Well, from what I gather, it ain’t just about hearin’ the game sounds. It’s about hearin’ ’em good. Like, knowin’ where the enemy is just by the sound of their footsteps. Imagine that! Back in my day, we just looked around and hoped for the best. These young’uns got it easy.
They also need somethin’ that ain’t gonna break on ’em. These games, they get intense, I hear. Yellin’ and shoutin’ and slammin’ things. So the headset gotta be tough. And comfy, like I said before. Can’t be focusin’ on winnin’ if your ears are killin’ ya.
And what about them screens?

Now, this ain’t about headsets, but I heard tell they use special screens too. Somethin’ about 1080 and 24 somethin’. Said it makes the game look smooth and fast. Guess that’s important when you’re tryin’ to shoot some fella in the game before he shoots you. Again, back in my day… well, you know the rest.
So, which one’s the best?
Beats me! Sounds like they all got their good points. Logitech seems popular, HyperX is comfy, and Sony is the new kid on the block. I reckon it just depends on what you like and what you can afford. These things ain’t cheap, I bet. Probably cost more than my old radio back in the day.
Other stuff them players use
Now, while we’re talkin’ about this VCT stuff, I hear tell they use other things too. Special keyboards and mouses. Even special mousepads! Can you believe it? A special pad for your mouse. Lord have mercy. Seems like they got a whole bunch of gear to help ’em play better. Guess it’s serious business, this e-sports thing.
One fella uses somethin’ called Apex 9 TKL keyboard and another uses G Pro X Superlight 2 mouse. Fancy names for fancy things, I say. They also got these special screens, XL2540 and AW2521H. And another headset called DT900 Pro X. And GAME ZERO Gaming Headset. Land sakes, so many names I can’t keep track! It’s a whole different world, this gaming world. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.

Anyways, that’s about all I know about them headsets and such. Hope it helps you young’uns figure out what’s what. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about video games has made me hungry.
