Well, let me tell ya ’bout this tennis match, the one with them gals, Sramkova and Alexandrova. Heard it was a real barn burner, they say. Folks was watchin’ it all over the place, even on that computery thing, the “Eurosport,” they call it.

So, this Sramkova girl, she went and beat Alexandrova. Can ya believe it? Alexandrova was supposed to be the big shot, ranked all high and mighty, number 33 they say. But Sramkova, she showed her a thing or two. Beat her fair and square, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. That’s what I heard, anyway.
They played in this big city, Beijing, in China. Fancy place, I reckon. The match was on somethin’ called “Court 3,” whenever that is. Started early in the mornin’ for some folks, 3:00 AM they say, or maybe later in the day, 6:30 pm. Don’t make no sense to me, all them different times.
Folks were real eager to watch this here match. Kept askin’ where they could see it. “Is it on that Prime Video thingy?” they’d say, or “Can I watch it for free?” Everybody’s always lookin’ for somethin’ free, ya know? Seems like it was on Eurosport, like I said, and maybe some other places too.
- Match was in Beijing
- Sramkova won
- Alexandrova was ranked higher
- People watched it on TV and online
This here Sramkova, she really put up a fight. It wasn’t no easy win, took her three sets to do it. That first set, Alexandrova took it, 7-5. But Sramkova, she didn’t give up. Fought back and won the next two, 6-4 and 6-3. Tough as nails, that one.
Now, they keep track of all sorts of things in these matches, “stats” they call ’em. I don’t pay much mind to that stuff. All I care about is who wins and who loses. And in this case, Sramkova, she was the winner. That’s all that matters to me.
This “China Open” thing, seems like a big deal. Lots of tennis players all gatherin’ in one place. Sramkova and Alexandrova, they was just two of ’em. They played in somethin’ called the “Round of 64.” Sounds like a lot of folks playin’ to me.

I heard folks could watch the match live, seein’ it right as it happened. Or they could watch it later, seein’ the “highlights,” they call ’em. Just the best parts, I guess. Saves ya some time, watchin’ just the highlights. But I like watchin’ the whole thing, if I can.
This Alexandrova girl, she probably wasn’t too happy ’bout losin’. Nobody likes to lose, ‘specially when you’re supposed to be the better player. But that’s just how it goes sometimes. Anybody can win on any given day, that’s what I always say. And this day, it was Sramkova’s day.
So, that’s the story of the Sramkova versus Alexandrova match, as best as I can tell it. Sramkova won, Alexandrova lost, and folks watched it all over the place. Just another tennis match, I reckon. But it sure was excitin’ for some folks, that’s for sure.
Some folks was sayin’ this match was “intense.” Guess that means it was a close one, lots of good playin’. I like a good close match, keeps ya on the edge of your seat. Don’t like them blowouts, where one person just stomps all over the other. This one, it sounds like it was a real battle.
And that’s all I got to say ’bout it. Sramkova won, Beijing, China, Eurosport, that’s all I remember. Hope that makes some sense to ya. Now, where’s that cup of coffee I poured myself? And don’t forget that they started playin’ September 27th. Lordy, I can barely keep track of the days myself anymore.
