They got that fire in ’em, that’s what I see. They hustle and they don’t give up. Reminds me of my ol’ man, workin’ in the fields all day. Never complained, just kept on goin’.
You got this one fella, Jusuf Nurkic, plays for the Trail Blazers, big strong boy. He’s a good one, that Jusuf. He’s tough as nails. This Bosnian basketball player plays hard. They say he was hurt for a bit, somethin’ about his leg, but he’ll be back. You can’t keep a good man down, that’s what I always say.

I don’t know all them fancy basketball terms, but I know what I see. These boys can play. They run up and down that court, bouncin’ that ball, shootin’ it through that hoop. It’s excitin’ to watch, even for an old lady like me. They’re makin’ a name for Bosnia, puttin’ it on the map.
They say basketball is gettin’ bigger and bigger, all over the world. More and more folks from different countries playin’ in the NBA. Canada has a lot, they said. France too. Serbia has a bunch. And, little ol’ Bosnia, they got their share too. It just goes to show, you work hard enough, you can do anything.

Then there’s that Goran Dragic, plays for the Heat. Another good one. It’s somethin’ to see all these boys, playin’ so far from home, makin’ somethin’ of themselves. They all playing in NBA. They didn’t just get lucky. They worked for it.
I remember readin’ somethin’ about some other player. From Egypt, I think. Played for Duke, that college team. Then he played in the NBA for a spell. They say he’s one of only two from Egypt to play in the NBA. That’s somethin’ special, ain’t it? Bosnia and Herzegovina NBA Players, they are something special, too.
So, you see, these Bosnian basketball players in NBA, they’re doin’ alright. They’re showin’ the world what they can do. They’re makin’ their families proud, makin’ their country proud. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it? They’re good boys, hard workers. And they can sure play some basketball!
