Man, I’ve been digging into the 2003 Houston Rockets roster lately. What a trip down memory lane! So, I started by hitting up the internet, just browsing around to see what info I could gather.

First, I typed “houston rockets 2003 roster” into the search bar. A bunch of stuff popped up, but I wanted something official, you know? So I headed over to see what resources I could use.
After looking through those, I started to piece together the roster. I saw familiar names, and it got me thinking about how the team was formed. They had some draft picks, like Tito Maddox. I read that he was picked in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft. Pretty cool, right?
- Found out Tito Maddox was a draft pick.
- Noticed the team had 43 wins and 39 losses that season.
- Learned that Rudy Tomjanovich was the coach.
Then I dug deeper into the team’s performance. They were 43-39 in the 2002-03 season, which put them 5th in the Midwest Division and 9th in the Western Conference. Not too shabby! I also learned that Rudy Tomjanovich was the coach back then. What a legend.
I kept digging, and I stumbled upon some more interesting tidbits. Like, did you know that the Rockets’ owner is Tilman Fertitta? I also found out that the team used to be called the San Diego Rockets before they moved to Houston in 1971.
A blast from the past
Overall, it was a fun little project. I enjoyed putting together the pieces of the 2003 Rockets roster and learning about the team’s history. It’s always cool to take a trip down memory lane and see how things have changed over the years.
I just wanted to share this with y’all, hope you guys find it interesting too!
