Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into this whole “best under 6 foot NBA players” thing, and let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole. I mean, I knew there were some killer players who weren’t giants, but the actual list is insane.

First off, I started with the obvious – Muggsy Bogues. This guy was 5’3″! Can you believe it? I found this stat that said he could drop 18 points in a game. Like, how does someone that short even get a shot off in a sea of giants? It’s mind-boggling.
Then, I got lost in a bunch of forum threads and old articles. People were throwing around names I’d never heard of. It seems like everyone has their own opinion on who the best short king is.
I dug into some stats, you know? I was trying to find some objective way to rank these guys. And guess what? I found out that Chris Paul, who’s a little bit taller than 6 feet is ranked 3rd for assists and steals, and 37th for points! He was good since day 1, it’s crazy. And you know, he’s probably going to be in the Hall of Fame. It’s just wild to think about. He’s not exactly a “short” guy, but he’s definitely not one of the giants out there.
The other surprising thing I learned was that there’s no actual height requirement to play in the NBA. I guess it makes sense, I mean, if you’ve got the skills, you’ve got the skills, right? It’s cool to know that anyone of any height could, technically, make it to the NBA.
I tried to put together a list of my own, but honestly, it’s tough. There are just so many factors to consider.
So, yeah, that’s where I’m at with this whole “best under 6 foot NBA players” project. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m still not sure I have all the answers. But it’s definitely given me a whole new appreciation for those shorter players who defied the odds and made it big in the NBA.
