Okay, so I’ve been digging into the Seahawks’ past running backs lately. It’s a wild ride, let me tell you.

I started by just making a list of all the names I could remember. You know, the big ones like Marshawn Lynch, Shaun Alexander.
- Marshawn Lynch
- Shaun Alexander
Then I thought, “Hey, there’s gotta be more than just these two.” So I started Googling around, looking for articles and lists about the best Seahawks running backs.
Man, there were a lot more than I expected. I found some lists that went back to the beginning of the team. I mean, we’re talking about guys I’d never even heard of before. It was a real history lesson.
I spent a good chunk of time reading up on these players, checking out their stats, and watching old game highlights. It’s crazy how different the game was back then. Some of these guys were absolute beasts, just bulldozing through defenses. Others were more about speed and agility, making defenders look silly.
The thing that really struck me was how important the running game has been to the Seahawks over the years. I mean, they’ve always been known for it, right? “Ground Chuck” and all that. It’s just cool to see how that tradition has been carried on by so many different players.
My Conclusion
After all this research, I’ve come to the conclusion that Shaun Alexander is probably the best of the bunch. I mean, the guy’s got the most rushing yards and touchdowns in team history, by a lot. But honestly, it’s hard to compare players from different eras. They all brought something unique to the table, and they all played a part in making the Seahawks who they are today.

Anyway, that’s my little deep dive into Seahawks history. It’s been fun, and I’ve definitely learned a lot.
