Alright, let’s talk about this Sandra Samir girl, eh? I heard some folks chattin’ ’bout her, so I figured I’d poke around and see what the fuss is all about. Sounds like she’s a tennis player, a pretty good one at that. From what I gather, she’s Egyptian. Egyptian Tennis Champion, they say. Fancy, huh?

- And they got these things called “player stats.” I guess that’s like how many times she hit the ball over the net and stuff. They even got videos of her playin’. I ain’t watched ’em, mind you. Too busy tryin’ to keep the squirrels outta the bird feeder.
This girl, Sandra, she started playin’ when she was just a little tyke, five years old, they say. At the Shooting Tennis Club in Giza, wherever that is. Heard she’s got a real good backhand. Now, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout tennis, but a good backhand sounds important. Like a good swing with a hoe, gets the job done, you know?
And get this, she won the African Cup of Nations for tennis. That sounds like a big deal. Beat some other Egyptian girl, Lamis somethin’-or-other. Happened in Tunis, they said. Wherever that is. She was real happy ’bout it, they say. Told some folks how great it was. Well, I reckon it is great! Winnin’s always great.
So, this Sandra, she’s got news and stats and videos and pictures all over the place. Guess she’s a pretty big deal in the tennis world. Young Egyptian Tennis Star, that’s what she is. And she started when she was just a little bitty thing, five years old. Makes you think, don’t it? What were you doin’ when you were five? Probably eatin’ dirt, just like me. But this girl, she was already whacking tennis balls. Good for her, I say. Real good for her.
They keep track of everything she does, you know? Every match, every score, every little thing. It’s like they got a magnifying glass on her all the time. Must be a lot of pressure, I reckon.
