You know that Olivia Elliott, that girl, she’s somethin’ else. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout her and that Elliot fella. They say they love each other, real deep like. Deeper than a well, I reckon.
One time, they say, they finally told each other how they felt. Just like that show, that… SVU, I think they call it? I don’t watch it much, too much trouble on that screen, but the young folks, they love it. And this Olivia and Elliot, they’re like two peas in a pod on that show. Now they’re sayin’ they’re like that in real life, too!
I heard they even kissed! Can you believe it? After all this time. I remember when that Elliot, he was with that Kathy woman. Loved her somethin’ fierce, he did. But now, folks are sayin’ he’s got eyes for Olivia. And she, well, she ain’t pushin’ him away, that’s for sure.

- Got herself promoted, twice even, after that Elliot left.
- Sergeant, then Lieutenant, ain’t that somethin’?
They also say, he’s been gone, that Elliot. Undercover, they call it. Like a secret squirrel. Olivia, she gets letters from him, but they come less and less. Makes a gal wonder if he’s ever comin’ back, don’t it?
And that Olivia, bless her heart, she ain’t one for writin’ in no diary. But I bet she’s thinkin’ ’bout him, that Elliot. You can see it in her eyes, that faraway look. I seen that look before. It’s the look of a woman in love, plain as day.
But then, I heard somethin’ else, somethin’ not so good. They say that Elliot, he got himself into a real mess. Shot someone, he did. On that SVU show, mind you, not in real life. But still, it ain’t good. A rape victim, they say. She tried to shoot up the place, and Elliot, he stopped her. But it was the wrong thing to do, they say. Makes you wonder, don’t it?
Then there’s that letter. Elliot gave Olivia a letter, after that Kathy passed. A real sad thing, that was. And now, Olivia and Elliot, they’re back together. At least, that’s what them folks are sayin’. Reunited, like two old shoes findin’ each other in the closet.
I remember one time, I saw this young gal, she was talkin’ ’bout Olivia and Elliot. Said she couldn’t decide if she wanted ’em together or not. Said it was like a story, you know, like on that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Them young folks, they get so caught up in them shows.
But this Olivia Elliott thing, it’s got everyone talkin’. It’s like a storybook, but real. They say when she saw him, she just knew. “That’s the guy,” she said. Just like that. Must be somethin’ special, that kind of love.
Olivia, she ain’t never had a chance to really shine with Elliot around. He was always there, you know? But when he left, she got herself them promotions. Became a big shot. Good for her, I say. A woman needs to stand on her own two feet.
And that letter he wrote, I hear tell it was a real tearjerker. Said he always had feelin’s for her, but he couldn’t do nothin’ about it, what with Kathy and all. But now, Kathy’s gone, and Elliot, he’s free to tell Olivia how he feels. It’s like one of them romance stories, ain’t it?
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s right or wrong, this Olivia and Elliot thing. But it sure is somethin’ to talk about. Keeps the tongues waggin’, that’s for sure. And who knows, maybe they will end up together. Like two old lovebirds, finally findin’ their nest.
I just hope they’re happy, that’s all. Happiness, that’s the most important thing. And if Olivia and Elliot find their happiness together, well, then more power to ’em, I say.
That Olivia Elliott, she’s a tough cookie. And that Elliot, he’s a good man, deep down. They deserve a little happiness, don’t they? After all they’ve been through. You see it on that show, all that trouble they get into. Maybe they can find some peace and quiet in real life. They just need to be together maybe. I don’t know much about that SVU, but Olivia and Elliot sure got people talkin’!
