Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole “NBA players from Argentina” thing. It’s pretty wild how many talented guys have made it to the big leagues from there. I started by just trying to get a handle on how many players we’re talking about.

First, I hit up a few different websites. Some of them listed out like 16 players in this category, but then I saw somewhere else that it’s more like 15. Seems like there’s a little bit of disagreement on the exact number, but it’s in that ballpark.
Then, I started looking at individual player profiles. I gotta say, it was pretty cool to see where these guys came from and what they’ve accomplished. Some of these dudes are seriously impressive, filling up the stat sheet game after game.
I made a list of all the players I could find and tried to organize them. I used a simple unordered list to keep track:
- Player 1: This guy is a beast.
- Player 2: Another solid player.
- Player 3: And so on…
- Player 4:…
- Player 5:…
- Player 6:…
- Player 7:…
- Player 8:…
- Player 9:…
- Player 10:…
- Player 11:…
- Player 12:…
- Player 13:…
- Player 14:…
- Player 15:…
I also found it interesting that players are usually ranked based on the country they were born in, not necessarily where they grew up or went to school. Makes sense, I guess, but it’s something I hadn’t really thought about before.
After I spent a while poking around, I noticed something funny. No one in the NBA has ever worn the number 69. I don’t know, just thought that was kind of a random fact, so I jotted it down.
Anyways, that’s basically what I’ve been up to. Just getting a better understanding of the Argentine players in the NBA. It’s been a fun little research project. Oh, and one more thing I noticed is that there aren’t currently any Argentine players in the NBA right now. Thought that was worth mentioning.
