Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, James Clarkson. I don’t know him from Adam, but I heard some things, you know? Folks talk, and I listen. They say he’s been on the telly, big shot, I guess.
Now, I ain’t one for watchin’ the telly much. Too busy with chores and such. But from what I gather, this Clarkson fella, he used to be on some car show, with a couple of other fellas, Hammond and May, they call ’em. Drove around in fancy cars, makin’ a ruckus, probably. Always seemed like a bunch of goofballs to me, but hey, people seemed to like it.
- Heard they drove all over the world
- Made a lot of noise
- And probably spent a whole lotta money
Then, somethin’ changed, I reckon. Clarkson, he up and went to a farm. Yeah, you heard that right. A farm! Traded in his fancy cars for tractors and such. Imagine that! A city slicker like him, tryin’ to be a farmer. Makes you chuckle, don’t it?
Folks call it “Clarkson’s Farm,” I think. They even made a show about it. Now, I ain’t seen it myself, mind you, but I heard it’s somethin’ else. Apparently, this Clarkson fella, he ain’t got a clue what he’s doin’. Strugglin’ with crops and animals, makin’ all sorts of mistakes. It’s a real mess, they say.
But you know what? People love it! They love watchin’ him make a fool of himself, I guess. They like seein’ him get dirty and frustrated. Maybe it’s because it’s real, you know? Life ain’t always easy, especially on a farm. And this Clarkson fella, he’s showin’ that to the whole world, whether he means to or not.
Now, I hear tell that those other fellas, Hammond and May, they might even show up on the farm sometime. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it? Three city slickers tryin’ to run a farm. Lord have mercy! I can just imagine the chaos.
But here’s the thing, I heard this Clarkson fella say he didn’t want to be just some fella in the pub who used to be on the telly. I guess that’s why he went to that farm. Maybe he’s tryin’ to find somethin’ different, somethin’ real. Maybe he’s tired of all the glitz and glamour and just wants to get his hands dirty.
And those other two fellas, Hammond and May? They say they miss workin’ with him. After twenty-two years, I reckon that’s understandable. You spend that much time with someone, even if they drive ya crazy sometimes, well, you get used to ’em. They become like family, I guess. Even if it is a dysfunctional family that drives fancy cars and gets into trouble.
I heard on the radio, that James May even said he was hoping they could all get together again, maybe on the farm. Folks like seein’ them three together I guess. Something about them guys arguing and making fun of each other that tickles people pink.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know ’bout this James Clarkson fella. He’s a city slicker turned farmer, a TV star tryin’ to find his way in the countryside. He’s probably makin’ a mess of things, but folks seem to love it. And who knows, maybe he’ll even learn a thing or two about farmin’ along the way. Or maybe he’ll just give up and go back to drivin’ fancy cars. Only time will tell, I reckon.
And at the end of the day, it’s his life and he’s gonna do what he wants to do. And that’s alright by me. We all gotta find our own path in this world, you know? Even if that path leads us to a muddy field and a herd of stubborn sheep.
