Well, let me tell you, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout that Jamaica national football team playin’ against the Cuba national football team. Sounds like a real hootenanny! They been playin’ for a while, these two, and I reckon it’s worth knowin’ who’s been winnin’ more.

I heard that Cuba, they won three times, lost one, and had a draw one time. They score, like, 1.2 goals each game, but them other teams get 2.4 goals on ’em. That there is some number, huh? They say somethin’ ’bout 75% winnin’ somethin’ or other.
Now, see, they also got these things called “knockout matches.” And them, they gotta do penalty kicks to figure out who wins. Ain’t that somethin’? Just like when we used to flip a coin to see who got the last piece of pie.
They got these big games, too. Called the “Continental Championship.” It’s like the big dance, but for kickin’ a ball. They got fancy names for ’em: Asian Cup, Africa Cup of Nations, somethin’ called Copa America, and that CONCACAF Gold Cup. Even a Nations Cup! Lordy, that’s a lot of cups.
- Asian Cup
- Africa Cup of Nations
- Copa America
- CONCACAF Gold Cup
- Nations Cup
I seen somethin’ sayin’ that Jamaica got a record against Cuba. Like keepin’ track of how many jars of jam you made each summer. It’s all written down somewhere, all their games and scores. Just like my old recipe book, but for football.
Now, this here paper says they got somethin’ called a “head-to-head history.” Sounds kinda violent, don’t it? But I reckon it just means all the times Jamaica and Cuba played each other. They keep track of it all, like how many times Mildred’s prize-winning rooster got loose.
They say they gonna play again on September 7th, 2024. Sounds like a big day, I bet everyone will be there to watch and yell! That day is a Saturday. They even know who’s gonna be playin’ way ahead of time. They call it the “predicted lineup.” Like guessin’ who’s gonna bring what to the potluck.

Then they got the “actual lineup” closer to the game. That’s when you know for sure who’s playin’. Like finally seein’ what Mildred actually brought to the potluck. You can never be too sure with that woman.
You know, they say this next big game is part of somethin’ called the CONCACAF Nations League. And it’s in somethin’ they call “League A.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like them fancy leagues them city folk got.
They say you can watch it on the TV, or even on that there internet. They got live scores, and lineups, and somethin’ called “stats.” Stats is like when you count how many eggs your hens laid each day. Lots of numbers and such. All that stuff seems complicated for an old lady like me.
I heard it will start at 00:00 UTC time. That there is a new time for me! Sounds like midnight to me. These young folks and their new ways of tellin’ time! Back in my day, we just knew when the sun was up and when it was down.
Some folks say you can even watch it on that Apple TV. I heard it’s fancy. They talk about how you can watch things on that Apple TV, but I don’t know much about it. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss to me. In my day we had that one big ole box and that was good enough.

I reckon it’s a big deal, this Jamaica vs Cuba game. Lots of folks talkin’ ’bout it. It’s like the event of the year. I suppose it is interestin’ to see how the timeline of these games goes. Just like watchin’ the seasons change, you see who wins and who loses over time.
Well, I hope those boys in the Jamaica national football team play real good. And I hope those Cuba national football team boys play good, too. May the best team win, I always say. Just like at the county fair, may the best pie win! And I hope everyone has a good time watchin’. That’s what really matters, ain’t it? Havin’ a good time and enjoyin’ yourself.
These games, they sure are somethin’. They bring folks together. Just like a good ol’ fashioned barn raisin’. Everyone gatherin’ ’round, watchin’ and cheerin’. It’s a sight to see, I tell ya.
I don’t know much about all them fancy rules and such, but I know a good time when I see one. And this Jamaica vs Cuba game, it sounds like a real good time. Maybe I’ll even try to watch it myself. If I can figure out that darn TV. These new-fangled things are gettin’ too complicated for me! I just hope someone can explain it to me in plain English.
Well, that’s all I reckon I know about this Jamaica national football team vs Cuba national football team timeline. It’s a lot to keep track of, but I guess that’s what they do nowadays. Keep track of everything. Just remember to have fun, that’s what I always say!
