Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout these football fellas, the ones they call the “hottest black NFL players.” Don’t know much about all this fancy football stuff, but I know a handsome fella when I see one, ya hear?
Now, they got this boy, Joe Burrow. Folks say he plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. He ain’t black, mind you, but they say he’s a looker, like somethin’ out of a fairy tale. He’s been playin’ since 2020, and seems like everyone’s got their eyes on him. Good-lookin’ fella can sure draw a crowd, that’s for sure.
Then there’s these fellas with the funny names. Barkevious Mingo, they say. Played for the Cleveland Browns way back when. Now, that’s a name you don’t forget! Don’t know if he was the hottest, but with a name like that, he had to be somethin’ special. They say he got picked real high in the draft, number six, I think. That’s gotta mean he was good, right?
And speaking of names, there was this Willie Thrower. Played way back in the 1950s for the Chicago Bears. A quarterback, they tell me. He was one of the first black fellas to play, and that’s important. Maybe not the “hottest” by today’s standards, but he paved the way for the others, and that’s somethin’ to be proud of. He was a back-up, but he got to play some, which is more than most can say.
- And they got Joe Perry, too. He played for the San Francisco 49ers. Folks say he was the very first black player to be named the Most Valuable Player. That’s a big deal, ain’t it? Being the best and all. He must have been somethin’ else on that field. They say it happened in 1954. That’s a long time ago!
- Now, I hear tell of some other fellas, but I can’t rightly remember their names. They play all sorts of positions, runnin’ and catchin’ and throwin’ that ball. It’s a rough game, football. Those boys gotta be tough. And some of ‘em are real easy on the eyes, that’s for sure.
They say these boys got charm and talent, and they play real good. Don’t need no datin’ apps, they say. I guess when you’re good at football and good-lookin’, the ladies come a-callin’. That’s how it works, I reckon.
I don’t know much about these modern players, though. Heard some names like Jimmy Garoppolo, plays for the Las Vegas Raiders now. He is cute, I saw him on the TV once. And that Julian Edelman fella, played for the New England Patriots, they say he is retired now. Same with Danny Amendola, don’t know where they played last, but they were good-lookin’ boys too, real popular with the ladies. These young fellas today, they come and go so fast, it’s hard to keep up. But one thing’s for sure, there’s always been good-lookin’ fellas playin’ football, black or white.
So, there ya have it. A little somethin’ about these football players. They’re strong, they’re talented, and some of ’em are real handsome. Don’t matter much to me, long as they play the game right and don’t cause too much trouble. But it’s nice to see a good-lookin’ fella on the TV, I ain’t gonna lie. It makes the game a little more interestin’, ya know? Keeps an old lady entertained, that’s for sure.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. These football fellas can run around all they want, but somebody’s gotta put food on the table, right?
