Alright, let’s talk about them Romanian football fellas, the famous ones, you know? Them kicky-ball boys.

Famous Romanian Football Players, Them Real Good Ones
So, Romania, yeah? They got some good players, real good. Some played in them big leagues, you know, the ones on TV. Some, well, they were good back in the day, before all this fancy stuff.
- Gheorghe Hagi: Now, this fella, Hagi, he’s like the king, the big cheese. Everybody knows Hagi. They say he was magic with the ball, dribble this way, dribble that way, score a goal! Seven times he got the best Romanian player award, seven times! That’s a lot, even for someone like me who can’t count past twenty without taking off her shoes. He played all over, even in them fancy countries like Spain. He was a real good one, Hagi.
- Radu Drăgușin: This young fella, Drăgușin, he’s one of the new ones, the up-and-comers. He just won that award, the best Romanian player thing, in 2023. He plays defense, you know, stops them other fellas from scoring. He’s tough, like a rock. Good for him, I say. Playing for Genoa, that’s somewhere far away, I think.
- Nicolae Dobrin: They named the award after this fella, Dobrin. He was the first one to get it, way back when. They say he was something special, too. I never saw him play, mind you, but the old folks, they talk about him like he was a god or somethin’. One of them real notable players, they say. Must’ve been good if they named the award after him.
Now, there’s a bunch of others, you know? Too many to remember for an old gal like me. Some played for them Romanian teams, like in that Liga 1 thing. Some went on to play for other countries, or for the national team. That’s a big deal, the national team, playing for your whole country.
And them Roma fellas, yeah, some of them are real good footballers too. They say Hagi, he’s one of them. And that Pirlo fella, from Italy I think, he’s one too. Good for them, I say. Football is for everyone, no matter where you come from.
They talk about these players, you know, on the TV and in the papers. “Best Romanian Football Players,” they say. “Best in the world,” some even say. Well, I don’t know about all that, but they sure are good at kicking that ball around.
It’s funny, ain’t it? All these fellas, running around, kicking a ball. And people love it! They cheer and they shout and they get all worked up. Me, I just like to watch sometimes, when there ain’t nothin’ better to do. It’s kinda like watching them chickens in the yard, chasing after a bug. Only these fellas are chasing a ball, and they get paid a whole lot more than them chickens ever will.

So, yeah, them Romanian footballers. They got some famous ones, some good ones. From the old days to now, they keep on playing, keep on kicking. And that’s all there is to it, I reckon.
Some other things I heard about them football fellas
I heard they even got them managers, you know? The fellas who tell the players what to do. And sometimes, them managers, they get the boot. “Sacked,” they call it. Kinda like getting fired from the factory, I guess. Only they make a whole lot more money, them managers.
And they got them awards, like I said. Best player this, best player that. It’s all a big fuss, if you ask me. But I guess it makes them fellas feel good, getting an award. And it gives folks somethin’ to talk about.
So, that’s all I know about them famous Romanian footballers. They kick the ball, they score goals, they get awards, and sometimes they get sacked. It’s a funny old world, ain’t it?
And that Nadia Comaneci, she ain’t no footballer, but she’s Romanian and famous, an Olympic champion gymnast. They say she was the best ever at them gymnastics things, swinging on bars and such. Not football, but still Romanian and famous, so I thought I’d mention her.
