Oh, honey, let me tell you about these young folks playing games, famous Canadian athletes 2023, they call ’em. So many names, hard to keep ’em all straight in this old head of mine. But they sure are good, these Canadian athletes. They run and jump and swim, oh boy, do they swim!
This one girl, Summer, they call her. Summer McIntosh, that’s it. She swims like a fish, that one. Saw her picture in the paper, swimming at the U.S. Open. Last December, that was. A young Canadian sports star for sure, this Summer girl. She’s gonna be one to watch in 2023, they say. You just wait and see.
- Summer McIntosh, she’s a swimmer.
- Then there’s that Clara Hughes. She’s somethin’ else.
- Penny Oleksiak, another fast swimmer.
- Maggie Mac Neil, swims like a fish, too.
- Camryn Rogers, throws that heavy hammer thing.
- Kelsey Mitchell, she rides one of them fast bikes.
And those Canadian athletes playing against the USA. Oh, it was a sight to see! They played that basketball game, you know? Went into overtime, it did. 127 to 118, can you believe it? Canada won, though! Good for them. They sure showed those Americans, huh? 2023 was a big year for them Canadians playin’ games, that’s for sure. Canada was the name everybody was talking about, I hear.
Now, there’s this other one, Clara Hughes. Lord, that woman, she’s done it all. She plays in the summer and the winter, both! Gets those medals, you know, those shiny things they give you when you win. She’s got six of ’em from them Olympic games. Six! Can you imagine? Used to ride them bikes, now she skates on ice. Fast, too. But you know what? She talks about feelin’ sad and all that. Helps other folks feel better, too. Good for her.
And that Penny Oleksiak, another swimmer. Seems like all these Canadian athletes like to swim. Her and that Maggie Mac Neil, both of ’em, swimmin’ like they were born in the water. There is also that Camryn Rogers, she is strong! Throws that big heavy hammer thing. And Kelsey Mitchell, she got a gold medal for riding that fast bicycle. These Canadian athletes are sure somethin’.
Lots of these Canadian athletes went to them Olympic games in Tokyo, couple years back. Brought back a whole heap of medals. 24, I heard! Seven of ’em were gold! That’s the best kind, you know. Now they’re gettin’ ready for the next one, in Paris, they call it. France, that’s where it is. This year, 2024, they are saying. 315 of them Canadian athletes are goin’, I hear. That’s a whole bunch of ’em, ain’t it?
These young folks today, they sure are somethin’. Playin’ all these games, winnin’ all these medals. Makes a person proud, don’t it? Canada is doing good. Famous Canadian athletes 2023, 2024, gonna be famous for a long time, I reckon. They are strong and fast and good at what they do. And they make Canada look good, too.
All these sports, it’s hard to keep up with. Basketball, swimming, ridin’ bikes, throwin’ hammers. My old bones could never do all that. But these Canadian athletes, they’re young and strong. They make us all look good. The famous Canadian athletes 2023, and I bet the 2024 ones, too. They gonna do us proud. Yes, sir, they gonna do us proud.
They say 2023 was a big year for Canada in the sports world. All them Canadian athletes doing so good. Winning, and being excellent, that’s what they say. It’s a good thing, all these young folks doing so well. Makes you feel good inside, you know? Like maybe things ain’t so bad after all. When the young folks are doing good, it makes everybody feel a little better, don’t it?
So, yeah, these famous Canadian athletes 2023, they’re somethin’ to behold. They make Canada shine bright. Keep your eye on ’em, I tell ya. They’re goin’ places. And they’re takin’ Canada with ’em, right to the top.
