Alright, let’s gab about these basketball fellas, the white ones in the NBA. You know, the ones that stand out like a sore thumb amongst all them tall, dark fellas. Don’t get me wrong, they ain’t bad, some of ’em are real good, like that… uh… what’s his name? That Luka Dončić fella. He’s somethin’ else, ain’t he? Always on the TV, dribbling and shootin’ like nobody’s business. Folks say he’s one of the best, and I reckon they ain’t lyin’. He’s got that fancy footwork, makes them other fellas look like they’re stuck in mud.
Then there’s this other one, Nikola Jokic. Big fella, real big. Not much for jumpin’ and runnin’ like them others, but he’s smart, real smart. Knows how to get the ball where it needs to go, and he can shoot too, surprisingly. Kinda reminds me of my old mule, Bess. Slow and steady, but gets the job done. He’s from Serbia or somethin’, far away place, I hear. They got some good basketball players over there, it seems.
And don’t forget about that Bogdan Bogdanovic fella. Another one from over there, Serbia I think. He ain’t as famous as them other two, but he’s good, real good. He can shoot the lights out, they say. I seen him on TV a few times, runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off, but he always seems to get the ball in the hoop. That’s what matters, ain’t it? Gettin’ the ball in the hoop.
There’s also this Joe Harris, I think that’s his name. He’s known for his shootin’. They say he’s one of the best shooters in the whole league. Not much else to him, just shootin’, but hey, that’s important in basketball, right? Gotta get them points somehow. He ain’t flashy like them others, just gets the job done. Quiet type, I reckon.
And then there’s Alex Caruso. He’s a bit different from the others. Not a big scorer, but he hustles, he plays hard defense. He’s like a little gnat, always buzzin’ around, gettin’ in the way of them other fellas. Folks like him, they say he’s got grit. I don’t know about that, but he sure does run around a lot. He’s got that red hair, sticks out like a poppy in a cornfield.
Oh, and that Kevin Huerter fella too. Another shooter, they say. Seems like all these white fellas are shooters. Maybe they ain’t got the jumpin’ power like them others, so they gotta make up for it somehow. He’s got a funny lookin’ face, kinda like he’s always surprised. But he can shoot, that’s for sure.
You know, they say there ain’t that many white fellas in the NBA. Mostly black fellas, and some of them Latino fellas too. But these white fellas, they hold their own, they do. They ain’t the flashiest, maybe, but they work hard and they play good basketball. Some folks even talk about who’s the best white athlete, not just in basketball, but in everything! Heard someone say it’s that football player, Christian McCaffrey. But we’re talkin’ basketball here, so let’s stick to that.

So, there you have it. The best white fellas in the NBA, according to me, and some other folks too. They ain’t the majority, that’s for sure, but they’re makin’ their mark, they are. They’re proof that you don’t have to be the biggest or the fastest to be good at basketball. You just gotta be smart, work hard, and, well, be able to shoot the ball pretty darn good.
Now, I gotta go feed my chickens. These basketball fellas are fun to watch, but they ain’t gonna put food on my table. But it’s nice to see some fellas out there, lookin’ a bit like my grandson, doin’ well for themselves. Makes an old lady proud, it does.
