Alright, so you wanna know about this Christy Holly, huh? Let me tell ya, it ain’t a pretty story, not one bit. I heard folks talkin’, whisperin’ like hens in a coop, and what I gathered ain’t somethin’ to be proud of.

This Christy Holly fella, he was a coach, see? A soccer coach, they say. Big shot, I guess, for some fancy team called Racing Louisville. Now, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout soccer, but I know wrong when I hear it. And what this Holly did, well, it was just plain wrong.
They say he got himself into some real trouble. Bad trouble. Somethin’ ’bout a player, a girl named Erin Simon. Poor thing. Seems like this Holly, he called her in for some “film session,” just the two of ’em. Said they needed to watch game tapes, learn how to play better. But that ain’t what happened, not at all.
- April 21, 2021, that’s the day it happened. Folks remember dates like that, dates when bad things go down.
- This Simon girl, she knew somethin’ wasn’t right. She had a bad feelin’, like a storm brewin’. And she was right, bless her heart.
- He was supposed to be coachin’ her, teachin’ her ’bout soccer. But instead, he… well, he hurt her. Real bad.
Now, I ain’t gonna say the words, ’cause they ain’t fit for decent folks to hear. But let’s just say he crossed a line, a big, fat line that nobody should ever cross. He took advantage, see? Used his power, his position, to do somethin’ awful.
And it wasn’t just a one-time thing, neither. Seems like there was a whole bunch of trouble with these coaches. This Holly, and some other fellas named Paul Riley and Rory Dames. Sounds like a whole pack of wolves, preyin’ on these young girls. Makes my blood boil, it does.
They did some investigatin’, you know, like them detectives on TV. Asked a lotta questions, dug up a lotta dirt. And what they found, well, it was ugly. They called it “systemic abuse.” Big words, but it just means that these girls weren’t safe. Nobody was lookin’ out for ’em, nobody protectin’ ’em from these nasty men.
And this Holly fella, he got what he deserved, I reckon. They banned him, kicked him right outta the league. Said he can’t ever coach again. Good riddance, I say. He ain’t fit to be around young people, not after what he done.

Racing Louisville, they paid him a lotta money, they say. Fourteen thousand dollars, somethin’ like that. But money don’t fix everything, does it? It sure don’t fix the hurt that this Simon girl, and probably others, had to go through.
This happened at Lynn Family Stadium, they say. A fancy place, probably. But it don’t matter how fancy a place is, bad things can happen anywhere. Evil can hide in plain sight, like a snake in the grass. And sometimes, it takes a brave girl like Erin Simon to stand up and say, “Enough is enough.”
So that’s the story of Christy Holly, as best as I can tell it. A story of power and abuse, of hurt and betrayal. And it’s a story that should remind us all to be vigilant, to protect the vulnerable, and to hold these bad folks accountable for their actions. ‘Cause nobody, and I mean nobody, should ever have to go through what that Simon girl went through.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. It’s a sorry tale, but it needs to be told. Maybe if we keep talkin’ about it, keep shinin’ a light on these dark corners, maybe we can stop it from happenin’ again. That’s my hope, anyway.
