Alright, let’s gab about them football fellas, the ones catching the ball, you know, the “wide receivers.” Folks keep yappin’ about the best ones, especially them… uh… “white” ones. I dunno why they gotta separate ’em like that, but that’s what they doin’, so here we go.
Now, they used to say that Edelman fella, Julian somethin’, was the best. He was a scrappy little fella, always catchin’ the ball and runnin’ like the devil was chasin’ him. He’s gone now, retired or somethin’. So, who’s the top dog now? Seems like this Kupp fella, Cooper Kupp, he’s the one everyone’s talkin’ about. He’s good, real good. Catches everything thrown his way, like he’s got glue on his hands.
But there’s more than just Kupp, you know. This year, there’s a whole bunch of ‘em catchin’ balls and runnin’ fast. Them Vikings fellas, Jefferson and Addison, they’re somethin’ else. They were scorin’ touchdowns left and right against them Falcons. Five touchdowns between the two of ‘em! That’s a lot, even for a couple of youngsters.
See, this football thing, it’s a big deal. They call it the NFL, National Football League. Sounds fancy, huh? But it’s just a bunch of fellas runnin’ around and catchin’ a ball. But folks love it, they go crazy for it. They even got these “fantasy” games, where you pick your own players and see how they do. Sounds complicated to me, but them young folks, they love it.

Must be a lot of work, keepin’ track of all them fellas. They look at all sorts of things, how many balls they catch, how far they run, how many touchdowns they score. And then they put ‘em in order, from best to worst. Or maybe it’s from worst to best, I dunno. It’s all confusing to me.
But one thing’s for sure, you gotta be good to play in the NFL. These fellas, they’re strong and fast and they know how to catch that ball. And the white ones, well, they’re just as good as anyone else. Don’t matter what color you are, long as you can catch that ball and run like the wind. That’s what I say.
So, who’s the best? Well, like I said, Kupp seems to be the fella everyone’s talkin’ about right now. But things change fast in football. One week you’re on top, the next week you’re nothin’. That’s just the way it is. You gotta keep workin’ hard, keep catchin’ them balls, if you wanna stay on top. And even then, there’s always some young fella tryin’ to take your place.
But it’s fun to watch, ain’t it? All them fellas runnin’ around, catchin’ the ball, scorin’ touchdowns. It’s excitin’. And that’s why folks love it so much. Even an old lady like me can appreciate a good football game, long as there’s plenty of snacks and someone to explain what’s goin’ on. And maybe a comfy chair to sit in, too. That’s important.
So, there you have it. My take on them white wide receivers. They’re good, real good. And they’re fun to watch. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it?
