Alright, let’s gab about them white fellas playin’ basketball in the NBA. You know, the tall ones, runnin’ and jumpin’ and throwin’ that orange ball. Some folks say it don’t matter what color you are, long as you can play, and I reckon that’s true enough. But, you know, people still like to talk about it, so here we are.
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch the games sometimes when I ain’t busy with the chickens and the garden. But even I can see some of these fellas are real good. They got that somethin’ special, that spark. Makes you wanna cheer, even if you don’t rightly understand all the rules.
Some White Players in the NBA Today
They say there’s this fella, Porzingis, plays real tall. Comes from some place way over the water, Latvia, I think they call it. Never been there myself, but I hear it’s cold. And then there’s Hayward, plays like a good ol’ American boy, from Indianapolis. Both his folks are American, born and bred right here.
And that Dirk fella, he’s been around a while. German fella, he is. Played for a long time, real good shooter. People used to say he was somethin’ special. And then there’s Kevin Love, another one they say is good. See, I can’t keep up with all these young fellas nowadays.
Best White Players of All Time
- Now, when you start talkin’ ‘bout the best ever, that’s where it gets tricky. Everyone’s got their own opinion, ya know? But that Larry Bird fella, they say he was the best white player ever. Don’t know much ‘bout him myself, but he must have been good if everyone says so.
- Folks also talk about Jerry West, another old-timer. And that Dirk fella again, he’s up there too. Then there’s John Stockton, Rick Barry… Too many names for this old lady to remember.
- And these new fellas, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic. Heard they’re real good, but I ain’t seen ‘em play much. They say that Jokic fella is somethin’ special. Big ol’ fella, but moves like a cat. Funny to watch sometimes.
It Ain’t All About Color
But you know, at the end of the day, it ain’t about the color of your skin. It’s about how you play the game. Can you shoot the ball? Can you pass it? Can you run fast and jump high? That’s what matters. My grandson, he tells me that most of the players in the NBA are black fellas, somethin’ like 70 percent he says. Then there’s about 17 percent white fellas, and a few others mixed in. Don’t really matter to me, long as they play good.
Making a List of the Best
Now, if you wanted to make a list of the best white players, you’d have to think about who’s been the most skilled and the most successful. Like, who won the most games? Who scored the most points? Who made the other players better? That’s what makes a player great, no matter what color they are.
And that Nikola Jokic fella, they say he’s up there with the best. Young fella, but already done a lot. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how good he gets.
It’s All About the Game
So, there you have it. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, all jumbled up like a mess of yarn. I ain’t no expert, like I said, but I like watchin’ the basketball when I get a chance. And it don’t matter to me if the fellas are black or white or purple for that matter, long as they play a good game. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it? Just enjoyin’ the game, win or lose.
