Well, let me tell you, I hear folks talkin’ ’bout them Argentina NBA players. Basketball, they call it. Jumpin’ around, throwin’ a ball in a hoop. My old man used to play somethin’ like that with a peach basket back in the day. Now, these Argentina boys, they’re makin’ a name for themselves, I reckon.

They say Argentina got some good ones, some real good ones playin’ in the NBA. Used to be more, I heard, but they’s still some there now. Now, that NBA, that’s the big time. Like winnin’ the lottery, but with more sweat, I guess. Those boys play hard, runnin’ up and down that shiny floor.
There used to be a whole bunch, back in the day. Some big group they called the “Golden Generation”. They were real good, won all sorts of things. It made Argentina proud, I reckon. Now it ain’t so many, but they’s still some keepin’ that name alive in the NBA, Argentina players.
I heard one fella, name of…Bolmaro, I think. He went to play for some team, Timberwolves. Sounds like a bunch of wild animals if you ask me. But he must be good, that Argentina NBA player. Makin’ his way in that big league.
These young’uns, they got all the fancy moves. Dribblin’ the ball between their legs, jumpin’ high like they got springs in their shoes. Back in my day, it was more about just gettin’ the ball in the hoop. Didn’t matter how, just get it in there!
- That Golden Generation, they was somethin’ else.
- Won a big gold medal, they did.
- Made everyone in Argentina real proud.
- Now, there are less Argentina NBA players.
- But some are still doing good in America.
It ain’t easy, gettin’ to that NBA. Lots of fellas try, but only a few make it. Gotta be strong, gotta be fast, gotta be able to jump like a grasshopper. And you gotta have that fire in your belly, that want-to-win.
I reckon these Argentina players in the NBA, they got that fire. They wouldn’t be there if they didn’t. They’re representin’ their country, showin’ the world what Argentina’s made of. Tough folks, hard workers. Just like us folks back home, workin’ the fields. Different kind of work, but still hard work.

Now, there are many players from other countries too. Canada, that’s got a lot of them. Then there’s France, and Australia, and Germany, and Serbia. All over the world, they come to play in that NBA, Argentina players are just a small piece of it all.
That Golden Generation, those were the good old days for Argentina basketball. But these new fellas, they’re makin’ their own way. They’re showin’ the world that Argentina still got some fight left in ’em. They’re still makin’ good basketball players down there.
It’s entertainin’, I’ll give ’em that. Watchin’ them run and jump. Reminds me of when I was a young’un, chasin’ chickens around the yard. Not quite the same, but it’s got that same kind of energy. Fast, excitin’.
I don’t know all their names, these Argentina NBA players. But I know they’re out there, doin’ their best. Makin’ their families proud, makin’ their country proud. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it? To come from a little place and make it all the way to the big time.
This basketball, it’s a big deal now. Everyone’s watchin’, everyone’s talkin’ about it. And those Argentina boys, they’re right in the middle of it all. Showin’ the world what they can do. It’s a good thing, I reckon. A real good thing. These Argentina NBA players are something special. They got talent.
I remember there used to be a whole list of them. I seen it somewhere. Maybe 16 of them, all from Argentina. That’s a good number. Means they got some good players over there, some real talent.

Nowadays there are not many of those NBA players from Argentina actively playing. But those who are there are playing really well. They are very good players, indeed.
