Alright, so you wanna know about this Alyse LaHue, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I heard. This woman, she was a big shot, yeah, a General Manager for that soccer team, Gotham FC. Used to be called Sky Blue FC, they say. Fancy names, if you ask me.
Now, they say she got this job back in 2019, April it was. Folks were sayin’ she was gonna turn things around for that team. And for a while, seems like she did. People were happy, cheering and all. But then, things got messy. Real messy.
- Heard she was the GM for another team before, Chicago Red Stars, they call it.
- Folks were singin’ her praises, sayin’ she was a real go-getter.
But then, last year, December 2022 it was, all this stuff came out. Bad stuff. They said she was makin’ unwanted, you know, advances on one of the players. Lord have mercy! A grown woman doin’ that! Don’t make no sense.
There was this big report, they talk about it all over. NWSL report, they call it. National Women’s Soccer League. Sounds important, I guess. Anyway, this report, it had all the dirt on her. People were shocked, I tell ya. All that talk about how great she was, and then this. Shameful, just shameful.
And you know what else they were sayin’? Somethin’ about visa fraud. Don’t rightly know what that is, but it sounds bad. Like she was doin’ somethin’ sneaky with the players’ papers or somethin’. This was back in 2021, they say. Seems like trouble followed her around, this woman.
Gotham FC, that’s the team she was with when all this bad stuff happened. Used to be Sky Blue, like I said. They play in New York and New Jersey, I hear. Fancy place. Don’t know why a woman like her would go and mess things up like that.
Now, I ain’t got no fancy education, but I know right from wrong. And what she did, that ain’t right. You can’t go around treatin’ people like that, especially not young players tryin’ to make a livin’. They put their trust in you, and you go and do somethin’ like that? Just plain wrong.
So, this Alyse LaHue, she ain’t with Gotham FC no more, that’s for sure. They probably kicked her out, and good riddance, I say. You gotta be responsible, you gotta be respectful. And she wasn’t. Simple as that.
Heard tell she was on social media, too. Everybody’s on that thing now, but I ain’t got no use for it. Said she had a bunch of folks she was followin’, but not too many followin’ her back. Maybe folks knew somethin’ was up, huh? Can’t say for sure, but it makes you wonder.
Folks are sayin’ this whole thing is a big deal for women’s soccer. They say it’s important to speak up, to hold people accountable. And I guess that’s true. Can’t let people get away with bad behavior, no matter who they are or how important they think they are.
So that’s the story, as far as I know it. Alyse LaHue, the big shot GM who messed up real bad. A cautionary tale, they call it. Just goes to show, you can have all the fancy titles and all the money in the world, but if you ain’t got no respect for other people, you ain’t got nothin’ at all.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Hope it makes some sense to ya. It’s a complicated world, this is, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. But one thing’s for sure: Treatin’ people right, that’s always the best way to go. Always.
Remember this, this whole thing with Alyse LaHue just goes to show that even in big-time sports, being a good person matters more than winning games or having a fancy title. It’s a lesson for all of us, not just them soccer folks.
