Alright, let’s talk about this here CS2 World Cup schedule, or whatever them young folks call it. I heard it’s some kinda big deal game thingy, like them computer games my grandkids play all day. Don’t really get it myself, but hey, if there’s money in it, good for them, I guess.

So, this here Esports World Cup 2024, that’s what they’re callin’ it, happened in some place called Saudi Arabia. Sounds fancy, huh? Happened back in July, from the 17th to the 21st. Not too long ago, I reckon.
Now, there were a bunch of teams playin’. Fifteen of ’em, they say. Fightin’ over some prize money. How much? Well, I heard it was a whole lot. Like, a thousand somethin’. Dollars, I guess. That’s a lot of chickens, let me tell ya.
- Team Qualifyin’: They got these teams, and they had to, you know, qualify. Like, prove they’re good enough to play. The winners, they go straight to the playoffs. That’s like the big games, the important ones.
- Knowin’ the Schedule: You gotta know the schedule, they say. When the games are, who’s playin’ who, and all that. And the results, of course. Who won, who lost. And the teams, gotta know the teams. And how they play, their style, I guess. It’s like knowin’ which rooster is gonna crow first, you gotta pay attention.
They also said somethin’ about the current champions bein’ some team called Natus Vincere. Won somethin’ called a Major in Copenhagen. First one in somethin’ called Counter-Strike 2. Sounds like a whole lotta mumbo jumbo to me, but hey, if they’re winnin’, they must be doin’ somethin’ right.
This here World Cup thingy, it ain’t just about this CS2 game, though. They got other games too. Like, Dota 2, and somethin’ called League of Legends. Sounds like a cartoon, don’t it? And Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. What kinda name is that? And Call of Duty: Warzone. Sounds like a war movie my husband used to watch.
So, these games, they take a while. Like, half an hour to an hour, they say. That’s a long time to be starin’ at a screen, if you ask me. But these kids, they love it. Guess it’s their way of havin’ fun. Times have changed, I tell ya.
Anyway, that’s about all I know about this CS2 World Cup schedule. It’s a big deal, lots of teams, lots of games, and lots of money. If you’re into that kinda thing, good for you. Me? I’ll stick to my chickens and my garden. At least I understand them.

More Things to Know, they say. Like them games happened pretty fast, you know, first week and all. And seems like it was a big ol’ party for all sorts of games, not just this Counter-Strike. They had all sorts, like I said, those DOTA things and that League of somethin’. Busy times for them young’uns.
And them matches, they ain’t short neither. Takes a good long while, like bakin’ a good loaf of bread. Thirty minutes to an hour, they say. That’s a lot of sittin’ around if you ask me. My old bones would start achin’. But these kids, they got the energy, I reckon.
So that’s the gist of it. A whole bunch of teams, playin’ games for money, in a place far away. And it’s all over now, so no use frettin’ about the schedule anymore. Just gotta wait for the next one, I guess. And hope them kids are havin’ fun, and not gettin’ into too much trouble.
And that’s all she wrote, as they say. Don’t ask me no more questions about this here video game stuff, ’cause I ain’t got no more answers. Just remember, them kids are makin’ a livin’ playin’ games, and that’s more than I can say for myself back in my day.
