Okay, here’s my blog post about my “ruzic vs miyazaki” experiment:

So, I’ve been messing around with Stable Diffusion, trying to nail down some consistent character styles. I stumbled upon these two Loras: “ruzic” and “miyazaki,” and figured, why not pit them against each other? See what kinda vibes they each give off.
First, I grabbed a basic prompt. Nothing fancy, just “a young girl sitting by a pond, daytime”. I kept the same seed for both, so we’re comparing apples to apples, you know?
Round 1: Ruzic
I slapped on the “ruzic” Lora, set the weight to, like, 0.7. I wanted to see its influence, but not totally overpower the base model. I hit generate, and…well, it was interesting.
The image had this… painted, kinda dreamy look. Colors were soft, edges weren’t super sharp. It felt like a children’s book illustration, almost. Definitely a distinct style, but not quite what I was going for that day.
Round 2: Miyazaki
Next up, “miyazaki.” Same prompt, same seed, same weight (0.7). This time, BOOM. Totally different feel.
This one was sharper, more detailed. The colors popped more, and the whole thing had that, well, Ghibli-esque quality. You know, that crisp, clean, animated movie look? Way more energy, way more… dynamic, I guess?

The Showdown
I generated a bunch more, tweaking weights, trying different prompts (“girl reading a book,” “girl running through a field,” etc.). The basic trends held up.
- Ruzic: Consistently softer, more painterly. Good for quiet, introspective scenes. Felt very… analog.
- Miyazaki: Sharper, more vibrant. Better for action, or anything where you want that classic animation feel. Felt very… digital, in a good way.
It’s not really about which one is “better.” They’re just…different tools. If I want something that looks like it came out of an old storybook, I’m reaching for “ruzic.” If I want that bright, energetic Ghibli look, “miyazaki” is the way to go.
Honestly, the coolest part was seeing how much a single Lora can change the whole vibe of an image. It’s like having different paintbrushes, or different film stocks, or… I dunno, different Instagram filters, but, like, way more powerful.
I’m gonna keep playing with these, maybe mix them with other Loras, see what happens. Stable Diffusion is a rabbit hole, man. A fun rabbit hole.
