Okay, so, the other day, I decided to check out this tennis match between Anna Blinkova and Beatriz Haddad Maia. It was part of the WTA Bad Homburg 2024 tournament. I’m not a huge tennis follower, but I enjoy watching a good match now and then.
First thing I did was look up when the match was happening. Found out it was scheduled for June 27th, at 2:00 PM on Centre Court. Easy enough, right? Then, I had to figure out how to actually watch the thing.
I went down a little rabbit hole trying to find a live stream. One site said the match starts at 13:35 UTC time, which is helpful, I guess, but I needed a way to watch it. Then I saw something about the Tennis Channel. Apparently, I could watch it through them, but I needed to have it as part of my TV package.
I got lucky! I do have access to the Tennis Channel through my cable provider. So, I authenticated my account on their site. Took a few minutes to get everything set up, but it was pretty straightforward. Input my details, and boom, I was ready to watch.
The match itself? It was intense! I watched the entire thing. In the end, Blinkova won against Haddad Maia. The score was 6-3, 7-5. It was a solid match, and I’m glad I took the time to watch it.
After the match, I did a bit more digging. Found out that these two also played against each other at the WTA Saint-Malo Open final back in May 2022. Back then, I watched that match on some betting site. Not sure why I did that, but it worked.
