Okay, so, today I wanted to mess around with some old NBA data, specifically the 2018 Nets roster. I was curious, you know, who was on that team, what were their stats like, just general stuff like that. I guess I was feeling a bit nostalgic, maybe.
First, I fired up my browser and started searching. I tried a few different phrases like “2018 Nets roster,” “Nets team stats 2018,” and “Brooklyn Nets players 2018.” Stuff like that. It took me a little bit to find what I was looking for, but I eventually landed on a couple of sites that had the information I wanted. It is a little troublesome to get the specific information I wanted.
Once I found a good source, I started digging into the roster. I saw some familiar names, like Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, and DeMarre Carroll. It was cool to see them listed as point guard, shooting guard, and small forward, respectively. Made me remember watching them play back then.
I also noticed some of the team’s records. Apparently, they had 42 wins and 40 losses that season. Not bad, not bad. It mentioned Kenny Atkinson was the coach, which, yeah, I remember him.
- I learned that the Nets spent a whopping 35 seasons in New Jersey before moving to Brooklyn. They played in a bunch of different arenas, too.
- And, of course, they had some legendary players over the years. I’m talking about guys like Buck Williams, Bernard King, Jason Kidd, Julius Erving, Dražen Petrović, and Vince Carter. True icons of the game.
It was a fun little trip down memory lane. I mean, who doesn’t love reminiscing about the good old days of basketball? I might do this again sometime with another team or another year. It is really interesting to me. It’s a great way to kill some time and learn some interesting tidbits about the sport.
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Just a simple day of exploring the 2018 Nets roster. Hope you enjoyed my little adventure. Until next time, then!
