Okay, here is my sharing about “former Kentucky basketball players where are they now” from my own experience:
So, I was thinking about all those Kentucky basketball players I used to watch. I got curious about where they ended up after leaving the team. I decided to do some digging and track them down.
First, I made a list of all the former Kentucky players I could remember. Then, I started searching for them one by one. This took a while, let me tell you! I went through a bunch of websites, old news articles, and even some social media profiles.
I found out that there are actually 10 former Kentucky scholarship players still playing college ball somewhere else. Ten! Can you believe it? I made a table to keep track of them all:

- Anthony Davis, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. I remember watching him back in 2011-12.
- Rob Dillingham, now with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was just at Kentucky in 2023-24.
- Justin Edwards, he’s with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract. Also from the 2023-24 Kentucky team.
- De’Aaron Fox, another big name.
I got sidetracked a few times. Ended up reading some interesting stories about players who didn’t make it to the pros. Some went into coaching, others got regular jobs. It was a real eye-opener.
The Final Results
After all that searching, I finally put together a full report on where all these guys are now. It took me days, but it was worth it. I learned a lot about the different paths basketball players can take. And you know what? It was kind of inspiring to see how these guys are still chasing their dreams, even if it’s not always in the NBA.
This whole thing reminded me that there’s more to life than just making it to the top. It’s about the journey, the hard work, and the passion you put into it. So if any of you guys are chasing a dream, keep at it! It’s worth it in the end, no matter where you end up.
