Okay, so today I was trying to figure out who’s gonna win between Shapovalov and Hurkacz. I mean, these two guys are pretty good, so it’s not like picking between your grandma and a tennis pro.

First, I started digging around for any info on these two. You know, like checking out their past games and stuff. I looked at some websites that had their head-to-head stats. Turns out, they’ve played each other a couple of times before.
Digging into Past Matches
- I found out that this is gonna be their third match.
- I also saw some predictions saying Hurkacz is more likely to win.
So, I thought, “Okay, let’s see what these prediction sites are all about.” I checked out a few that claimed to simulate the match like 10,000 times. I don’t know how they do that, but it sounds kinda fancy, right?
Then I started thinking, “What if I could do something similar?” I mean, I’m no computer whiz, but I figured I could at least make a simple comparison based on what I found.
I grabbed a piece of paper and started jotting down their strengths and weaknesses. I made a little table with their names at the top and listed stuff like “big serve,” “good on clay,” “inconsistent,” things like that.
After staring at my messy notes for a while, I realized it wasn’t as easy as I thought. There are so many things to consider!
But, based on what all those websites were saying, and my own little analysis, I decided to go with the majority. I’m predicting that Hurkacz will probably win.

Of course, I could be totally wrong. That’s the fun of sports, right? You never really know what’s gonna happen. I’ll definitely be watching the match to see if my prediction comes true. If not, well, I’ll just have to go back to the drawing board… or maybe just leave the predictions to the fancy computer simulations.
