That AfreecaTV PUBG League thing, Season 2, it’s a big deal, you know? All them young’uns glued to their screens, watchin’ it. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on about it. Says it’s some kinda online game, somethin’ called “PUBG.” Sounds like a disease to me, but what do I know?

They had this big AfreecaTV PUBG League 2022 Season 2, in September, yeah, from the 14th to the 18th. My grandson was all excited, didn’t come outta his room for days! He said there were 24 teams, all fightin’ each other. Not real fightin’, mind you, just in that game. He kept yellin’ stuff like, “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.” That’s what it was all about, a chicken dinner, I think.
This here PUBG, it’s a Korean thing, I reckon. They’re all crazy for it over there. This one was organized by AfreecaTV, whatever that is. Sounds like some fancy TV channel. They say it’s a “B-Tier” tournament. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. Maybe it means, “that’s the second-best”, you know.
- 24 teams playin’
- Start on September 14th, 2022
- Finish on September 18th, 2022
- It’s a Korean PUBG thing
- AfreecaTV somethin’ is in charge
Now, back in my day, we didn’t have none of these fancy games. We played outside! We’d play tag, or hopscotch, or, or…well, I forget what else. But it was good, clean fun. Not like this PUBG, where everyone’s shootin’ each other. Even if it’s not real, it still ain’t right, I tell ya.
They had another one of these AfreecaTV PUBG League things before, back in 2018. That one was a real big one, an “S-Tier” they called it. Musta been somethin’ special. They had 19 teams then, back in June 30, 2018, fightin’ it out. It was offline, not online, you know, they are in the same place. My grandson said that was a long time ago, a different time. He wasn’t even playin’ PUBG then! Can you believe it?
They got somethin’ called PUBG Mobile too. It’s like that PUBG, but on your phone. My grandson plays that too. All the time! He’s always tappin’ away at that little screen. I think his thumbs are gonna fall off! They had a tournament for that too, that AfreecaTV organized it.
- PUBG Mobile is like PUBG, but on your phone
- AfreecaTV also has a PUBG Mobile tournament
- Kids these days are always on their phones
They got all these leagues and seasons, it’s hard to keep up. They had this PUBG Korea League, they call it PKL. They had Season 1, Season 2 in 2018, then Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 in 2019. And somethin’ called “Contenders”, and “Survival Series Beta Season”, then “Season 1”. It’s all too much for me!

Anyway, this AfreecaTV PUBG League Season 2, it was a big deal. Lots of folks watchin’, lots of folks playin’. They say there was a big prize, somethin’ like $71819. That’s a lot of money! Imagine winnin’ all that just for playin’ a game. In my day, we worked for our money! We didn’t just sit around playin’ games.
I don’t understand it all, but I guess it’s what the young folks like these days. They’re all about that PUBG and that AfreecaTV. As long as they’re happy, I suppose. But I still think they should go outside and play sometimes. Get some fresh air, you know?
My grandson, he tries to explain it to me. He says it’s about strategy, and teamwork, and quick reflexes. I guess that’s good, right? Better than just sittin’ around doin’ nothin’. But it is just a game. But these days, people make money from it. That’s just crazy, right?
This AfreecaTV PUBG League Season 2 thing was online, so I guess anyone could watch it. They say it was streamed on AfreecaTV. Not on that YouTube thing, which my grandson always watches. He said that’s where all the other PUBG stuff is, but not this one.
- AfreecaTV PUBG League Season 2 has a big prize money
- Young folks like to play games these days, not like in my day
- AfreecaTV PUBG League Season 2 is streamed on AfreecaTV, not YouTube
- My grandson tries to explain it to me, but I still don’t get it
This whole thing, it’s a bit like a soap opera. You got your different teams, your different players, all that drama. Who’s gonna win? Who’s gonna lose? My grandson gets real upset when his favorite team loses. It’s like his whole world’s ended! I tell him, “It’s just a game!” But he don’t listen.
Well, I guess that’s all I know about this AfreecaTV PUBG League Season 2. It’s a big to-do, that’s for sure. Lots of excitement, lots of young folks glued to their screens. Me, I’ll stick to my knitting. That’s enough excitement for me.
