That Lewis Hamilton, he sure is somethin’ else in that Las Vegas. He drives that car so fast, you can barely see it go by! I heard he’s gonna leave that Mercedes team soon. That’s what they say. Three more races, and then he’s gone. Gonna go somewhere else. He’s been with Mercedes for a long time, though. Twelve years! Can you believe it? Time sure does fly.
He was in Las Vegas, that fancy place with all the lights. He was supposed to be first, you know, the pole position. But he ended up tenth. Tenth! Can you believe that? He was doin’ so good in the practice, though. Top of the list, they said. Fastest one out there on Friday. Everyone was surprised when he didn’t win that pole thing.
- He’s won lots of championships, that Lewis Hamilton.
- Seven of ’em, I heard. Same as that other fella, Schumacher.
- They say he’s the best there is.
He drove a real good race, though. A real good one. Even though he didn’t start in the front. He still did good, that Lewis Hamilton in Las Vegas. Drove like a real professional. You can see he has put in a lot of effort in this.
That Las Vegas track, it’s somethin’. All shiny and new. He was doin’ real good in practice on Thursday night, too. Topped the list again, they said. Fastest one out there again. He’s got a real knack for that driving. Must be in his blood, or somethin’.
They say he was disappointed, though, Lewis Hamilton. After that qualifying thing. He thought he shoulda done better. But that’s racin’, I guess. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. He’s a champion, though. He’ll bounce back. You just wait and see.
He’s gonna go to that Ferrari team now. That’s what they say. After all these years at Mercedes, he’s gonna switch. That Ferrari. They make them red cars, right? He’ll be driving one of them soon. Next year, they say. He’ll be with that other fella, Charles. I saw them on the news. They are gonna make a good team, I guess.
He gets paid a lot of money, that Lewis Hamilton. Millions, they say. Fifty million a year at Mercedes! Can you imagine that? And they say he’s gonna get even more at Ferrari. He must be rollin’ in it. Good for him, I guess. He works hard.
He signed a deal with Ferrari, they said. A long one. He’ll be there for a while. He’s not gettin’ any younger, you know. But he’s still got it. He’s still fast. He’s still Lewis Hamilton. He can still do the job.
It will be fun to watch him in Las Vegas. That city is amazing, I heard. And so many people like to watch Lewis Hamilton driving his car. That will be interesting.
I don’t know much about that Formula 1 stuff. But I know Lewis Hamilton. I know he is a big deal. And I know that Las Vegas race was somethin’ else. He’s a good driver, that one. He will do well in his next race. I think.
They said Lewis Hamilton will show up at that Ferrari factory next year. On February 19th. And people will see his first Ferrari car. That will be some news. I bet a lot of people will be there.

Well, that’s all I know about that Lewis Hamilton and that Las Vegas race. It’s all very excitin’, ain’t it? I just hope he keeps winnin’. He seems like a nice young man. He worked so hard and earned so much money. He deserved it, I think.
