Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout these hot quarterbacks. Folks keep jabberin’ on about ’em, so I figured I’d chime in too.
Now, this fella, Jared Goff, they say he’s somethin’ special. Playin’ for the Lions, which is funny ’cause them Lions ain’t been good for nothin’ in ages. But they winnin’ now, or so they say. And this Goff guy, he’s throwin’ the ball real good, apparently. They got all these fancy numbers, like “EPA per dropback,” but all I know is, if he’s winnin’ games, he must be doin’ somethin’ right.
Then there’s this Patrick Mahomes fella. Seems like he’s always on TV, winnin’ them Super Bowls. He’s young too, just a pup compared to some of them other fellas. Folks say he’s one of the best, and I reckon they might be right, seein’ as how much he wins. He’s played in a whole bunch of them Super Bowls, and that ain’t no accident, I tell ya. Three championships? That’s more than most folks can dream of.

And there’s a whole bunch of other quarterbacks they talk about. This Derek Carr guy, plays for the Saints down in New Orleans. They ain’t doin’ so hot this year, but Carr’s been around a while. He’s had his good days and his bad days, just like the rest of us.
Now, they got these young fellas comin’ up too. Every year, they got a new batch of ’em, tryin’ to make a name for themselves. Some of ’em pan out, some of ’em don’t. That’s just the way it is. They say this 2025 bunch ain’t supposed to be too good, but you never know. Sometimes them experts are wrong, just like that weatherman who said it wouldn’t rain last week, and wouldn’t you know, it poured cats and dogs, ruined my whole wash day.
Burrow, that’s another name I hear a lot. He plays for the Bengals, and he’s supposed to be pretty good too. Got all these fancy stats, like “passing grades” and “big-time throw rate.” I don’t know nothin’ about all that, but if he’s throwin’ the ball where it needs to go, that’s good enough for me. They say he’s one of the top guys, right up there with Mahomes and Goff. Seems like these young fellas are takin’ over the league.
I tell ya, it’s hard to keep track of all these quarterbacks. Seems like every team got a new one every year. But the good ones, they stick around. They win games, they make the big plays, and they get all the attention. And that’s what makes ’em hot quarterbacks, I reckon.
It’s like when you’re bakin’ a pie. You need good ingredients, you need the right temperature, and you need a little bit of luck. Same thing with these quarterbacks. They need good teammates, good coaches, and a little bit of that magic that separates the winners from the losers. And right now, it seems like Goff and Mahomes, they got that magic. But things change fast in football, just like the weather. One minute you’re on top, the next minute you’re yesterday’s news. So, we’ll just have to wait and see who stays hot and who cools down.
