The Big Names, Ya Know?
First off, gotta talk about this Tony Gonzalez fella. Everyone and their brother says he’s the best darn tight end ever. And lemme tell ya, they might just be right. This guy, he caught more balls than anyone, ran farther with ’em, and scored more touchdowns too. Sounds like a real winner to me.

They say there ain’t as many black tight ends as there are runnin’ backs or them wide receivers, but there’s still a bunch. Good for them, I say. Football’s for everyone, long as you’re tough enough.
Folks talk about where these tight ends line up, at the end of that line of big fellas, you know? That’s their spot, waitin’ to catch the ball or block some big ol’ defensive guy.

Now, this fella Rob Gronkowski, they called him “Gronk.” Some folks say he’s the best ever, even better than Gonzalez. Can you believe it? They say he was a real good blocker too, not just catchin’ balls. That’s important, you know, gotta protect your quarterback. A tough fella, that Gronk.
And Some From Before…
I heard tell of some older fellas too, like this Todd Christensen. Played for the Giants and then the Raiders. Raiders, that’s a tough team, I tell ya. And this other guy, Kwalick. They say for a few years, he was the best darn tight end around. Catchin’ all them balls, goin’ to the Pro Bowls and all that. Sounded like he was somethin’ special.
So, Who’s the Best?
Well, it’s hard to say who’s the absolute best. Gonzalez got all them records, Sharpe got them rings, and Gronk, well, he was just a beast. And all them other fellas, they were good too. It’s like tryin’ to pick the best apple in the whole orchard, ain’t it? They’re all pretty darn good.
