Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Aces ring thing, the 2024 one, ya know? It was a big deal, like when the county fair comes to town, but fancier, I guess.

So, they had this “Opening Night Ring Ceremony” on May 14th. Big night! They pulled up this big ol’ banner, shiny and new, sayin’ they were the champs. Then they started handin’ out these rings. World Championship rings, they called ’em. Must’ve cost a pretty penny, those things.
I heard tell the place was packed, like sardines in a can. Michelob Ultra Arena, they call it. Sounded fancy. Folks were cheerin’ and hollerin’, makin’ a real ruckus. Said the air was “electric.” Don’t know what that means, but I reckon it means they was excited.
They got these players, the Aces, they call ’em. Strong women, tall as beanpoles, some of ’em. They were out there struttin’ their stuff, lookin’ all proud. And why not? They won, fair and square, I guess.
- They raised a banner.
- They got rings.
- Lots of people clapped.
This wasn’t their first time, mind you. They did this last year too, 2023. Back-to-back champs, they said. That’s like winnin’ the pie-eatin’ contest at the fair two years in a row. Pretty impressive, I gotta say.
This fella, Mark Davis, he owns the team. Also owns some football team, the Raiders, I think. He came out and said some words. Closed the ceremony, they said. Probably thanked everyone for comin’ and cheerin’, like you do at these things.
Then there’s this other fella, Jared Feldman. Don’t know what he does, but they mentioned his name along with the Aces. Maybe he helps out, holds the towels or somethin’. Important enough to get his name called, I suppose.

Now, these rings, they ain’t just some cheap trinkets from the five-and-dime. I heard they were the most expensive rings in the whole darn women’s basketball league, the WNBA. Cost more than my old pickup truck, I betcha. The 2022 rings were the most expensive, they said, so these 2024 ones were probably up there too. These Aces, they play at that arena in the Mandalay Bay place. Big fancy casino, I heard. They got their headquarters in some place called Henderson. Don’t know where that is, but it sounds important.
Championship rings, they’re a big deal in sports, I’m told. Like gettin’ a blue ribbon at the livestock show, only shinier and you can wear it on your finger. Fans and players, they all look forward to it. It’s a way of showin’ off, sayin’ “We’re the best!” And these Aces, well, they sure were showin’ off. And good for them, I say. They worked hard for it, I reckon.
So, that’s the gist of it. The Aces, they had a ring ceremony, got some fancy rings, and everyone clapped a lot. It was a big to-do, and it sounds like they deserved it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
