Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about some basketball players, the white fellas who were real good at it. Don’t get your britches in a twist, ain’t nothin’ wrong with that. Just sayin’ who’s who, ya know?

First off, that Larry Bird fella. Folks say he’s the best white player ever. And lemme tell ya, he was somethin’ else. Shot the ball like nobody’s business, tough as nails, and smart too. He played for the Celtics, and they won a bunch of championships back in the day. He was real somethin’, that Larry Bird.
Now, there were other good ones too, don’t get me wrong. That Jerry West, they called him “Mr. Clutch.” He could score like crazy, always seemed to make the big shots when it mattered. Then you got Dirk Nowitzki, this tall drink of water from Germany. He shot the ball kinda funny, but man, it went in. He won a championship for Dallas, and he played for a long, long time. A real good player, that Dirk.
- And let’s not forget John Stockton. He wasn’t flashy, but he was steady as a rock. He passed the ball like nobody’s business, and he played hard every single night. He and Karl Malone, they were a heck of a duo for the Utah Jazz.
- Then there’s Rick Barry, he shot the ball underhanded, but it worked for him. He was a scorer, plain and simple.
- And these young fellas, Luka Dončić and Nikola Jokić, they somethin’ special too. Dončić, he’s fancy, can do it all. Jokić, he’s kinda slow, but he sees the court like nobody else. He passes the ball like a magician, and he can score too. They both real good, and they gonna be around for a while.
These days, you got guys like Kristaps Porziņģis, that tall fella from Latvia. He can shoot and block shots. And Gordon Hayward, he’s a good all-around player, from Indianapolis, he is. And that Kevin Love fella, he’s been around a while, real good rebounder and shooter. It’s been a spell since a white American fella was named to one of them All-NBA teams, you know, the real good players.
So, yeah, there’s been a lot of great white basketball players. Larry Bird, he’s probably the best, but all them other fellas, they were good too. They all played hard, and they made the game fun to watch. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, right?
Basketball’s a game for everybody, no matter where you come from or what color you are. But it’s good to remember the fellas who paved the way, the ones who showed that white guys can play this game too. They all deserve some respect, that’s for sure. And that’s all I gotta say ‘bout that.
And let me tell you somethin’ else, these fellas, they worked hard. Ain’t nobody give them nothin’. They practiced and practiced, and they played their hearts out. That’s what it takes to be good at anything, you gotta work hard and never give up. Just like plantin’ corn, you gotta tend to it every day if you want a good harvest. These basketball players, they tended to their game, and they got a good harvest of wins and championships.

So, next time you watchin’ a basketball game, remember these names. They’re some of the best to ever play, and they just happened to be white. It don’t matter much, but it’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon. They showed that anybody can play this game, long as you got the heart and the skill. And that’s the truth, plain and simple.
Anyways, that’s enough talkin’ about basketball for one day. I gotta go make some supper now. But y’all remember what I said, these fellas were good, real good. And that’s all there is to it.
