Alright, so the other day I was digging through some old basketball cards and it got me thinking about those classic NBA rosters. Specifically, I wanted to remember who was playing for the Houston Rockets back in 2010. So, I decided to do a little research and put together the roster myself. Here’s how I did it:

First, I opened up my web browser. Nothing fancy, just good old Google Chrome. Then, I typed in “Houston Rockets roster 2010” into the search bar and hit enter.
Scrolled through a few of the initial results. Some were just general articles, some were forum posts. Finally found a dedicated sports website that had a clean list of teams, seasons and roster.
Find the roster!
I navigated to the “Teams” section, then found the Houston Rockets, and then clicked on the link for the 2009-2010 season, and bam. There it was, the full roster.
Here is the table I saved on my computer.
- Aaron Brooks – Point Guard
- Trevor Ariza – Small Forward
- Shane Battier – Small Forward / Shooting Guard
- Chase Budinger – Small Forward / Shooting Guard
- Joey Dorsey – Power Forward / Center
- Jordan Hill – Power Forward / Center
- Jared Jeffries – Small Forward / Power Forward
- Chuck Hayes – Power Forward / Center
- Kyle Lowry– Point Guard
- Kevin Martin – Shooting Guard
- Yao Ming – Center
- Carl Landry– Power forward
- Luis Scola – Power Forward / Center
- Tracy McGrady – Shooting Guard / Small Forward
After viewing the roster, I copied all the names and pasted them into a simple text file on my computer. Just wanted a clean, personal record of it.
It was a fun little trip down memory lane, and it’s always satisfying to organize information like that. Plus, now I have a quick reference whenever I want to remember that 2010 Rockets team!
